After many years of involvement with MG's ljoined the MG Car Club in 2011 and have enjoyed every moment since. I have formed many friendships with great likeminded people. Having a grounding in cars growing up with a mechanic father I soon knew my way around cars. A selection of early influences were Mercedes, Alfas, Austins, Humbers Fords, Holdens and of course MG's. I was proud of my first MG purchase, a L967 MGB in 1992 which I still have. After studying accounting my early working life was in several fields including the printing industry and transport. I have been involved in the Audio-Visual industry since 1994 after purchasing an AV Hire business. As a result, I have been part of the analogue to digital transition now a central part of modern day life. Shortly after joining the MGCC I was approached to assist with the AV in the new auditorium and to join the competition committee. My involvement within the club grew to become Officials Register captain and then Competitors Register captain. I enjoy the fun and camaraderie of club competition and using my MGB for what it was designed to do. I believe in supporting the club that supported my family and I as new members. Giving back is something MGCC members do in many forms and is the most rewarding way to say thank you..
